We'll figure out details once we meet up.

I'll bring fishing gear, some heavy dino stuff, and I'll see what I have for lighter gear if we find a creek to try out Nordegg way. You'll have to look after licensing(if you choose to fish). If you haven't done so before, it can be done in RMH.

As to the dino spot on the map I posted, I stopped going there at night some years back. A few people I know had encounters with mountain lions out there(I hate that I can't just say cougar without someone making a horny old woman comment:rolleyes:) and I had an human encounter right out of an urban legend. I'll save those stories for when we are sitting in the dark in puma and bear country. ;)
Have you tried boxed wine? .... sorry but a giant cat in the woods... I....ah I'd die lol. Last words "here Kitty kitty!"

Again, you do you.
Personally, after hearing the story from the guy who was cornered and stalked for hours, in the pitch black, having given up high ground, I never want to repeat his experience.

I know, I say dumb things. Lol
Totally kinda not related but I think Jenny is like tequila (fightin) weed for me. Got similar on the most recent Twinklehawk that I'm gonna let go, shout out if you want it. Back to Jenny though, she's got medicine just "side effects" on me that require management. If I were lookin for something to ween off opiods, this would probably be it. Not sure this sounds like a compliment but it is and think you know what I'm talkin bout Jesse. What makes it out of bounds for me makes it a fave for someone else, buddy will be happy to get a couple zips.

Go Nuggets!

Scroll to the bottom of the link for photos. I think I figured what the pipes are.

This is a spot I visited with @SSGrower
Many ghost communities like this on the dryland.

@SSGrower has just left on his long trek south.
I traveled over 1100kms with him and it is only a tiny fraction of the ground he covered.

I wasn't able to put him on a sturgeon yesterday:(, but I managed to catch one. He caught his first walleye and goldeye and was bitten off by a pike Wednesday. Then we spent most of the afternoon Thursday on the river bank. We were going to go back for the evening and again this morning but we got well cooked in the sun along the river so we just chilled by my pond for the evening and again today
(SSG touched my dinosaur. I think in Georgia that would mean we're married:oops::ROFLMAO:)

We saw that grizzly on the side of the Forestry Trunk Road south of Edson. We stopped and stood there chatting for ~15 minutes while North America's apex predator casually grazed a few paces away. He was just a little guy, likely a yearling, but seeing that hump on the shoulders was a reminder that he'll be 1500 pounds of terror in a few years. It's only the second time I've seen one in the wild. (looking forward to the pics SSG got with his good camera)

We put on a lot of miles, exchanged a million words and ideas, and had a really good time. Neither of us will be quite the same person after this week.
