Nice, I'd love to see them when they're done. Sounded interesting to me and I've been wanting to try Photon Pharms stuff. His gear always looks so nice when I see photos.
I've never grew a auto..I believe the autos are getting way better these days..Just don't know for sure..If I do eventually grow a auto it will be from Photon farms..I do have beans from the Pharm..Post some pics @Amos Otis ...I remember from past threads how ya feel about autos...Be cool to see what ya think..I just dont think about them at all..No real, or good reason either

Yeah, you could say I'm not fond of them, but I haven't run any autos for maybe a decade. But the past 3 years have shown me that normal plants don't finish out there. I've still got 3 big pots and plenty of soil, and the seeds were cheap inexpensive at 5 for $29.00, so maybe they'll be entertaining. If they get cracked by first of May they should be done end of July.

So .... what kind of seed would result if they were hit w/ normal or reg pollen - do you know?

I've wondered before if that's where "fast version" early finishing photos come from. I was just looking at someones offerings yesterday that had a lot that were early finishing I think it was Force of Nature. The guy behind Jean-O's Genetics in Michigan used to work with auto's and photos both and sometimes had a fast version.

I've tried to grow autos and had marginal success at best.

I've had some bad Auto's over the years. I could start back more than 10 years ago with my homegrown that I used to grow, it would produce an occasional plant that would be autoflower. They weren't ever good plants. I'm guessing something like that is where the auto breeders started. I do have S1 seeds from one of those plants and was going to play with it this year but 0/3 germinated. I usually grow a few every year just to make a few seed but they're never very predictable seed, lots of mutants. Haven't bother with them in a couple years.

I've grown some Auto's from Twenty20 and Mephisto's. They're fun to grow, the end product hasn't always been good. But I have had a couple good plants. I have touched some pollen to a couple and have some seeds but haven't really explored them. Had a Livers Bx1 from Mephisto that I put some reg pollen to. Grew out 1 plant in my veg tent. I just chopped it 2 days ago. It ran in my veg tent for over 110 days, then another week in a reg flower setting with 12 hours. It turned out pretty decent looking. I have 3 more of those as seedlings that I want to put outside soon. If they go 120 days like the other, they should be done in August sometime, maybe early September, which is perfect for my neck of the woods.

Did grow another one of my auto crosses a Trizzlers (Twenty20) x Sunshine #4 but it was a male and seemed to be a photo if I remember correctly, seemed like I eventually put it in the flower tent before I chopped it.

I'm certainly not expecting weed like Lemon Dosidope or Grapesmacs. Never had top shelf Auto flower. Is it possible? I have no idea. I like to play around, why not, maybe I'll get lucky and make something I like that finishes in late August, that would be ideal.

I'll try and grab a decent pic of that Livers cross I just chopped.

Your first progeny would be photoperiod, but flower time would be significantly less in a percentage of that group. Breeding those fast phenos together and you'll see a percentage of autos in that round but not many, and a few gens down the line you would be at full autoflower. Sometimes the photoperiod parent already has some auto genes in it already, and they will breed down to auto even quicker.

There are exceptional autos out there now the last time i grew them was 9yrs ago when i grew for personal use. They were all memphisto genetics. I guess from all the newer auto breeders out now, there is a huge market for them to the small homegrower who is plant time restricted. They are simple and minimal work.

I'm assuming that using Reg Photo male pollen on a Reg Auto female will produce approximately: 25% Auto, 50% Fast Flower, and 25% Photos, unless one of the parents genes dominate the other.
I've got 4 Reg Auto females pollinated with Reg Photo male pollen, beans will be done in 2 or 3 weeks, so I'll find out soon.
