In Bloom
I gave my new Pot by Noids unit a try today and the outcome wasn't quite what I was hoping for. If you're not familiar with this unit, it's along the lines of other options for making infusions and such, but it also has settings to decarb and distill into FECO. I decarbed about 7 grams of ground flower first, poured Everclear a little over the top of the flower in the glass beaker, and left it to sit overnight. They only require 3 hours in the directions but it was late so I let it sit until this morning. Then I strained off the flower and put the tincture, basically green dragon, back in the beaker and set it to extract for a couple hours. Once it was finished it was still too thin so I did as they recommended and put it back for a an evaporation cycle. I was wiped out so I laid down for about an hour+ for a nap. When I got up to check on it the cycle was finished, but this time it was just a hard layer at the bottom of the glass. I wasn't sure what to do so I added a dash more of Everclear and this is where I am now, a hard layer with thin brown liquid. It smells a little burnt, but I'm wondering whether that's just the harshness of the Everclear.
Where should I go with this from here?
Here's a 1 minute video that gives you the basics of what I did, from the Noids channel. But this photo shows what I wound up with, including the dash of Everclear I added to see if it would dissolve.
