Wanted to get my journal started and will be adding the initial pictures soon!

Excited to run these North Lights #2 from Todd at AgSeedCo.

Running organic BuildASoil No Till Living Soil style. This will be my 3rd overall run doing living soil and it is such a great learning experience.

I have loved BuildASoil products and they have worked well for me so far. They can be a bit pricey, but I try to get most of it from my local shop to help support them. I sometimes also watch for big sales on their website which can help.

I got NL#2, Original Haze, and Skunk #1 from AgSeedCo. Starting of this run with the NL#2. Really excited to get some earlier lineage strains. I think I plan on keeping some of these as well for when I decide to get a bit more into breeding.

Yeah the only reason I haven't tried their soil yet is the price with shipping. I never thought about seeing if any of the local shops have their stuff. I have Authentic Genetics Skunk #1, Durban Poison, Original Haze, and Original Haze Mix. I forgot I grew out one of the Durban Poisons but I don't think it was done when I chopped it. I had to chop everything at the same time and I don't think she wasn't very happy with how I was growing her.

Yeah I'll definitely be doing some preservation runs with his stuff. I'm also getting into growing older lineages and preserving them and hopefully using them to make my own crosses.

Any good information on starting a Living Soil grow ?
My best resource so far has been watching BuildASoil on youtube. He does an amazing job explaining everything from start to finish. He has I believe 7 seasons where each season is a full grow from start to finish. I have watched them all so far and has been a huge source of info from living soil in general, amendments, environmental, IPM etc. I would for sure recommend the channel. He also is very good about explaining that you dont need all of the products they offer and even encourage people to make their own and has some guides on that on the website as well.

Here is the start of my Journal with some info and pictures of my grow space! Hope you enjoy following along during this grow. Super excited to see how these turn out.

Here is the start of the pictures and progress of the NL#2 grow started earlier this month.

I decided to pop 5 seeds with hopes of getting at least 3 females as that is the total number I want to grow in this space right now. They all popped very quickly (about 36 hours) in H202 and RO Water (2 parts RO Water 1 Part H202 3%).

Here is the current setup after I planted the seeds into smaller pots to start and grow until I get genetic testing done to determine male/female and help not have to wait so long to sex them.

The two fabric soil pots in the back are on the 2nd run after my previous run.
- I added some BuildASoil Craft Blend, Kashi, and some floured Barley seed with some Worm Castings to help re-ammend the soil.
- I then added in a handful of worms to help break down the previous plant roots, stems, and leaves that I dropped on the soil.
- Then covered with another layer of BuildASoil Light
- Added in some 12 seed blend cover crop seed to help create a living mulch layer and to chop and drop before flower.
- Added an additional mulch layer over the cover crop of very clean straw from BuildASoil

The front pot is fresh BuildASoil 3.0 and light mixed.

I am curious to see the differences between the fresh soil and the 2nd run pots.

VERY CLEAN, nice setup! Man, I wanna do hard floors in my lung room sooooo bad.
Thank you!!

The floors are actually just a super cheap laminate from Lowe's. When we moved in it was just plywood flooring and I just got a roll of vinyl flooring and placed it over top to help keep the wood from getting spilled on or high humidity. And it just feels so much better to walk on and be in!

Here is the most current picture of the plants from yesterday.

Some additional condition info:

Lights are running 18/6 and sitting at about 350 PPFD. Will probably be bumping this up a bit this week.

Temps
Daytime: 80-82F / Nightime: 69-71F

Humidity is usually sitting around 75% during lights on.

VPD: Daytime is currently sitting around 0.80-0.90
