Was a funny grow in that I messed up the veg period quite a bit and the plants structure was compromised but someone forgot to tell the flower cycle so it stacked solid and towards the end every day I’d be chasing bud fiop to maintain decent lighting to the canopy . The tent looked like an Emergency ward with shit hanging from all over the place to assist .

I was going to post this in the Canada thread, but thought it was a good reminder for all us anglers (except maybe @Ramjet159 , whose country doesn't have hills, rivers, or ice )

Smartassery aside, this story describes some of my biggest fears. A man and woman at a lookout type place over the mostly frozen river. They tumble down into the water. The man is able to get out, but...

Police continue search for woman who fell into North Saskatchewan River

Edmonton fire crews were called to a report of a man and woman falling through the ice near the Keilor Point area around 7:10 p.m.

We actually do have quite a few rivers . Nothing like you guys but we have some beautiful locations to fish and explore . Kayak fishing is very popular in the Eastern states mainly The Murry River where our Murry Cod found its name . It’s a very popular house boat vacation .

I got at call at 0300am this morning while in bed . It’s the wife “ I’ve ran out of bait and the fish have just come on the bite” I’m thinking I know where this is heading so I asked to cut to the chase would you like me to run you down some more bait ? Because I’m just a great bloke and I have nothing better to do at 0300am except sleep maybe . I had a bong before bed so driving a vehicle is a big no no . What are my options for quick delivery while the fish are biting .
Ended up on the younger daughters pushbike complete with the girly carry bag on the front , no lights , no helmet , a fading memory of actually riding a pushbike coz it’s been awhile and off I go into the night all downhill . I didn’t even think about the breaks until the first intersection so now I’m at the mercy of whatever happens . It’s absolutely dead calm . I squeeze the brakes and they start screeching like a pissed off parrot . I’m pretty sure half the neighbourhood is now awake . I hope they didn’t look out the window to see some middle aged snoozer wobbling down the hill on a budget girls pushbike with no lights and a bag of prawns .
I made it .
Turns out she was on fire with her rod and caught what is regarded as a champion haul of KGWs off our Oil jetty ( called that because the fuel tanker uses this jetty to supply the town )
These nights with this success being the numbers she caught does not happen often being land based so she’s savouring the moment . The mean machine The reward for my heroic deeds

My Nephew landed his first ever fish on the weekend . Pulled it up out of 17 meters of water . A good effort for two and a half .
Conversion complete . He’s now a part of the angler squad for life . The focus is all around keeping that funny spinny thing spinning . Oh mums gonna be so proud .
