default to some other hobby or past job if its someone you don't want knowing about your work for example, just talk about something you know alot about or say you're an entrepreneur who doesn't like discussing his niche's, or just be vague, contractor with signed NDA's ...whatever sounds believable and maybe a half truth. Say you do mechanical turk work, work from home customer support...Never know when a private investigator after a 200$ debt will go asking around for gossip and encounter the neighborhood gossip queen. and all the information they gather goes into their weak vulnerable databases shared with all creditors. If it's a cop, "can asks if you are physically able, may asks with my permission, give me my ticket"

I was a teenager LOL. My prank call skills were legendary at one point, but now I'm too old for that haha. For real though; I had no idea what had happened for like two weeks. Then one day my cousin comes over and he's like "DUDE!" all excited to tell me something, and he's like "When his Dad got off the phone, he was heading out to head to the video store, and my buddy was just getting home from school, so he's like telling my buddy to get in the fucking truck NOW. The whole way to the video store his Dad is insulting him, and they get there, walk in, it's packed, and he finds the made up name you gave him working at the counter.... He says loudly why he's there and everyone stopped talking and started watching, and then, the girl at the counter said they don't have a manager by that name. Apparently everyone in there pissed themselves laughing, and they left".

yes!!! I don't like people asking me what I do for a living or where I work, recently someone asked me how I get to work or if I drive I mean what does it matter to them? Someone else asked me how's life and I'm like good and their response was what's good about it? I'm thinking in my head wtf kind of question is that? And I just said well things could always be worse. Like I said maybe my people skills aren't the best and I'm misinterpreting things but questions from people I don't know well make me really uncomfortable.
