Writing on stone?

Jeepers, the guy is up here for less than a week , and he is a local flora-expert !

Yes, that is the same grass we saw at the tail end of our river walk at Writng-on-Stone swimming beach.

The only reason I recognize it is because that is the only type of grass I know that Deer will not eat.

The photo is only 70 miles North, so I can nearly see the park from there!😄
I jest, but not hyperbolicly.
This photo is 50 miles north of the park, and I certainly can see the ridge .

Yikes !

That is some quality video.

She was moving ! Imagine the dent she coulda put in that truck.

Couple things I noticed:
Those bears are familiar and comfortable with barb wire.

Her head looks just as wide as the opening 095b9e00-3a70-4c51-875b-91bf11327437_text.gif

I think she popped a staple on the third wire up. It appears to be hanging lower now, even though she went under it. e8211bfb-14e6-4c06-bd2c-a2a9edaa7d16_text.gif

Another thing I noticed was the 'bow wake'
Is that a real thing?
She is snow plowing!
Talking about the chunks of ice flying ahead of her.

She is moving so fast that she is keeping abreast to her debris

Hate to drag you through this one more time, but there's something else that interests me.
Verbal cadence, tone, pitch, and syllable frequency.

Nothing but four letter/single syllable words in the dialogue. 'Charging' was the longest, but notice how even the shortest of words get stretched out ?
"Road,,cubs,, sow,, "
Right near the end of the video
"Loogy-thee-aat"
that is my fav.
There is excitement in his voice, but it does not serve to quicken the pace. Sounds more like Johnny Cash dictating a letter to his wife.
Like, what would it take for that old boy to get excited?
Literally a result of emigration patterns in our area.
There is a wagon trail south of here. Amongst other things , they left yucca and a slow drawl behind.

People ask if a Bear shits in the woods, but now I can't help but wonder if people shit in their car seeing this.

EDIT:

Forgot something:

THIS is a Charmin commercial with Bears I'd actually watch.

That a little breeding pile? Or are they staying warm?
I presume it is a den. They were coming in and out of the hole in the center of the shot. I never asked what they were up to. ;)

It was kind of funny. I didn't see the den at first, just a single snake off to the side. I took a step toward it and then the whole pile of them started moving, right at my feet. I know they are harmless, but I also know quite a few people with herpetophobia who would have had a heart attack. It's so funny to think of being scared of these little guys.

I was exploring a new area. Saw lots of tracks including the first bear of the season, but they were days old.

Unfortunately, I managed to spring an oil leak as I was pulling in to my fishing hole at the end of the exploration. The oil light came on and I stopped immediately. Refilled with a jug I had in the car and limped home, leaving an oily trail behind. :(
Managed to get a booking for Sunday afternoon 3 blocks from home to have it looked at. Gotta love small towns. :)
