Hermie or just slow?

I’ve culled a few that were obvious hermies w/pistils & balls, but I’m not sure about this one.
The plants got repotted as soon as I saw pistils.

This is the first time I’ve started seedlings with 12/12 and apparently it really brings out the hermie traits!
Has this ever happened to you?

This is the first time I've seen female pistils on male plants.
I remember watching a breeder video where the guy was harvesting pollen from males, and he said that he sees more hermies on male plants than female plants.
Go figure...

These plants are from one of my pollen chucks, and now I'm wondering if I should just dump the entire batch.

Has anyone else seen this when seedlings are started under a 12/12 light cycle?
I normally veg for at least 4 weeks, but my space is crowded and I want them to stay small.

Maybe this is a good way to test new genetics for hermie traits...
Maybe this bad experience is actually a good thing.
Maybe I dodged a hermie bullet???

dunno

And the $100 question becomes whether to keep growing the ones that look good so far.

It's a big risk, and I'm thinking it might be time to dump them all and soak some different seeds.

What do you think?

Not as a rule.
Beggining Sept., I have brought around 100 plants to sexable maturity, germinated 12/12.
No herms.
( with the exception of my Mandarin Oh-Oh, that thing herms outdoors, under 24/7 light, at the drop off a hat, on days that end in Y,,,)
Perhaps 12's will facilitate a hermi prone plant. Dunno.
In my limited experience, 12s are not spontaneously producing herms.

( again, in my limited experience)
Herms tend to show at sexing, or much later, with late nanners.

Don't punish them, for the sins of their siblings. If they have shown their colour, and they are flying right,,,
At the moment, are they not doing all that you have asked?

Good point.
I'll just have to be extra diligent looking for male flowers because I know for sure that the hermie trait is a factor with this genotype.

For me I've experienced the most herm traits when I flower a plant thats not fully shown sex yet, and not started the alternating nodes. Doesn't always happen like that, but often enough that I've noted it in my head and try not to do so anymore.
Imho its like rushing the plant to decide what its going to be at puberty, and it gets stuck on the fence as to which way to swing.

I've had males do that to me. Its one of the reasons I let the males finish out in their own tent after pollen collection to see if they herme later in flower.
These plants are from one of my pollen chucks, and now I'm wondering if I should just dump the entire batch.
Or just be vigilant if the herb is worth the extra work. I've had some crosses be herme prone, and chose to not run them any more as they didn't fit what I was after.

If they have'nt done anything yet I'd let em run and just watch em good. I currently have one that I'm doing that with cuz I wanna see what her buds are like. Culled the clones of her though, she'll be a one and done run.

Do whatcha gotta do mang. I'd give em a chance though if theyre not being naughty, just would keep em a one and done plant.
