Well, this Rhodium is definitely licorice forward.
Oh that sounds nice! Jaeger OG for the win!
I'm using paper bags for the first time I think since I started growing again after legalization.
Focusing more on steady rh than temperature or "ideal" rh, 7-10 days hang then another 7-10 in paper bags. Used to not have any enviro control and it was 7 and 7.
I haven't tried paper bags myself, but it stands to reason it'd work out if the RH stays on point. I have to find "creative" ideas a lot when I crop out, because.... I hate trimming, and when you have about 14 pounds of weed hanging up all at once, it doesn't get any easier staring at all that, so, normally I attempt to get the stuff that matters most done first, and then the other stuff, I experimented with a two years ago, to see how long I could keep it "fresh". Our temps in November made this a little easier, as the room it was in can stay at about 58 degrees without a heater, so the main thing was keeping the RH in the room up enough. There's a giant ass humidifier out there though, so, setting that to 60% and keeping it filled up did a great job, and after like 2 months of it being out there, I noticed one day that some had gotten overly dried, so I reset the humidifier to 75% for about a week, and that took care of it and got the moisture back into the buds. By the time we finished it was well into Winter, and as I snipped buds off the stems, and into a Grove Bag, I let them cure, and had very nice results. Cured up nicely, good smell and flavor, and good quality. It makes sense in my head when I think about it, as I got to "play in a florists shop" back when I was a kid, since my Mom was friends with the owner, and I couldn't help but notice, that keeping cut plants fresh, isn't that hard. Just keep the temps cool, and the plants at the right moisture level, and they hold pretty well. I still have a bunch of stuff hanging from this season, but since the room doesn't ever see 70 degrees, and we have humidifiers, I have not had any issues thus far honestly. It makes it a lot easier to deal with I can tell you that. I do a few racks here and there, and just make sure that they're staying cool, and that the RH stays right, and they'll hold for a while.
I'll likely move to grove bags, maybe a jar or two 🤷♂️ after they homogenize. Got a new tote with a gasket so we'll see how that goes.
I do like the Grove Bags. Specially when I'm doing the "long term" hanging. It's just easier to deal with that, assuming of course that the room itself isn't dry as shit. I've had to "remoisten" bags before, but it's not too hard really, and once the RH in the bag is back to a normal level, just hold them in there and extra week, and they go right back to curing.
A Tote with a Gasket is interesting. Sounds like a good way to store grove bags where you can make sure they have some moisture in there. If I'm not mistaken, I think you mentioned once before that you've used a sprayer to moisten a big rubber bin full of bags so they wouldn't dry out so fast in Winter. Is that gasket idea to make that part easier ?
