Question?
Does anyone else ever use “donor plants” anymore?
I have a green pepper plant in the bloom tent that the bugs tend to go to first!.?
That pepper plant has produced for (well) over two years, and I’ve never had to pollinate it or even tap the flowers, they just do it on their own and green peppers keep coming! ( she even takes the same food I’m feeding everyone else in the tent)
So, she stays in the bloom and she’s the one I watch with the eagle’s eye.
That poor thing has had so many different bugs, I’d have to make a list. But she’s a lot easier to fight with then anything else in the bloom tent, and bounces back time after time, saving the rest of the occupants from anything too harsh.
A bug bite here or there isn’t going to harm your cultivar, in fact, it could even help boost it‘s immunity. But an infestation however, can do unimaginable damage, and do so quite quickly! (Ask me how I know!)
So ya, she stays!
