Tents with built in veg compartment

I would like to consolidate my three tents into one, larger tent that has a large flowering area as well as a smaller spot for veg + clones or possibly add another 3x3 that has a built in veg compartment (3x4) .Are any of you all running tents that have a built in vertical veg compartment? If so have you run into any unexpected issues? I've got a total of 950w of LEDs to work with (1 400w & 3, 150w boards)
Here's what I've been looking at.
The larger tent (top pic) would be a full replacement and I would ditch all my other tents.
The smaller tent (bottom pic) would be used in conjunction with a 3x3 I have from the same manufacturer and would sit nicely together.

You might be able to get away with seedlings, clones, but no way you can veg properly on those shelves. I have had two different sizes, and controlling the environment is a nightmare.

I wound up pulling the baffle in both of them and using the extra 12"s for flower space.

Thank you, that is exactly what I was worried about with the multi chamber tents. My other worry was light leaks from the veg into the flower section.

After days of pondering when I should have had my mind on other things, I decided to add the 3x4. I'm just going to use the small section for propagation & the main portion for veg-No flowering in that tent. I really like the size more than the added veg room. My Gerber 06 folder will fix that wall if need be.
My thought is that with the 3x3 + 4x3 setup next to each other I will save floor space in the room while adding sqft of grow area if that makes sense. They will also tighten up the look of the room (our single spare room) Corner windows are the reason I didn't go with 4x4s.
I'm going to duct both into the attic with 6" insulated HVAC ducts & then install two soffit vents that look like bathroom vents into the bottom of the plastic soffit. I will put a mesh metal mesh screen in there to keep curious critters from finding the source of the warm air.
My math was off on the original post, I forgot to add that I had an additional old 100w veg board for a total of 950w.

@jaguarlax is completely right you can run clones or start your seedlings in these or even do an auto or a few bonsai moms but you can’t properly Veg in those unless you would get a giant one. I have 2x of the 3x2x5 but only use 1 now and my 2x2 then I just use the middle area between the 2 tents as my veg/cloning area. Idid exactly what Jag said I got sick of dealing with the bs cause even after taping my partition the humidity in the Veg would seep to the flower side and would get to high. So I rigged up a “Y” to vent both sides of the 3in1 and it still would have huge drops and climb in humidity. After awhile of dealing with it I just took the middles out and use both the 3in1 and the 2x2 as flower tents and just use the 2x2ft space between them as my Veg this way I can control the humidity in my flower tents and I just let the veg rock out with the normal 50-60% humidity we have here. If i could give my two cents I would go for a big one so that maybe you will have the room to veg and flower but me personally I feel the multiple tent option or multiple room option is a better all around option. But your grow your way brother! Hope you can figure it out to best work for you

Thanks @BigPretzel! I've decided to ditch the big single tent idea and stick with two tents that are better sized for the room. I'm keeping my 3x3 & adding the 4x3 from the same manufacturer right next to it (will be a 7x3 foot print) The 4x3 does have a separate, small compartment I plan to use for veg before up potting. I'm not going to sell my 2x2 or 4x2 in case I run into issues.

Sounds like a great idea. I run two tents in my closet then the middles between them is where i Veg. After writing on here last week I looked at may grow area and I may be able to add my 2x2 in the middle and get another 2x2 for where the other one was.. idk what else o could do other then turn the whole closet into one big tent but then I wouldn’t be able to have a perpetual unless it was all autos and I def don’t want that.

I almost purchased an AC Infinity tent, until I came across a few reviews that said that their poles were very thin, and worst of all, didn't lock properly in place. If you already have one, your impressions would be appreciated,
I think my AC Infinity is better built than my Mars TBH. The AC has thicker poles and strong corner supports. The material is a heavier grade or at least feels that way. No door seam leaks yet.

Thanks for the information! I think I saw the negative reviews on Amazon..land of the phony reviews. :ROFLMAO:
I have a Mars 3x3 that was gifted to me, and it has light leaks all over the place. the poles are also thin garbage (my old Vivosun 3x3 has better poles). it has been relagated to a clone tent until I can replace it. A much better product is the Unitfarm tent. I have their 2x4 and it is a perfect Gorilla knockoff..except there can't be an extension added (patent infringement) I haven't seen them for sale in the USA for quite a while, but are still stocked in Canada.

After hearing your report, I might pull the trigger on the AC Infinity 3x3 though.

I have the 4x4, 5x5, and 2 2x4’s and I’d have to say they are the best tents I’ve ever owned my 5x5 where the zipper is the material ripped where you open in the first time I opened it I did kinda jerk on it like a dumb ass tho, I emailed them and they sent me a whole new 5x5 tent I love them I have all the controllers and fans and filters, shit I even have there seedling mats I like all there stuff but that’s just my opinion

AC Infinity has what would call 3/4 or 7/8" poles the Mars has 1/2" poles. Both use tube metal corner pieces, not the plastic block crap. The A/C Infinity has a better layout as far as duct placement too. The Mars was a pain to run ducting to due to the odd placed small ducts.
On a side note, I've had one my inline fans from A/C Infinity running for 3 years straight with only a week break when I moved. No extra noise, still runs like new.

Thanks again!
Happily I don't need or use a filter..Just an exhaust fan with straight ducting to the outside. I also have the ACInfinity 6" fan and controller that is musewd in the male/breeding tent. Very nice fan I must say.

So, the other thing that I saw was that the the ACInfinity tent poles don't lock together.......is that true? The reviews were from Amazon/

Ya they don’t lock but they are solid, them not locking hasn’t affected me at all

Hmmm, maybe I will replace the 3x3 Vivosun as well. It has been serving me well for 5+ years but the zippers have begun to get stiff and hard to move. Been using candle wax on them for a long time, but it looks like the end is near. If not for the candle wax, it would have been gone a long time ago.

After a long debate, I ended up adding the Ac Infinity 4x3. The center divider will not be installed so I will have a single flowering space. The 3' width that matches my other 3x3 should let me arrange them nicely in the small room to tighten it up. This is my plan for perpetual growing.

Seeds starting/clones:
•2'x2'x48' tent. Cheap 10w LED currently (upgrading to a simple t5)

Vegetative stage:
•3x3x72" AC Infinity
(1) ViparSpecta P1500 LED 150w
(1) Giixer blurple LED. Pulls 114w
Watts per sqft: ~30
*both lamps have ways to control output so I shouldn't have any issues getting young plants acclimated.

Flower stage:
•4'x3'x72" Ac Infinity 743d
(1) ViparSpecta P4000 LED 400w
(2) ViparSpectra P1500 LED (2×150w)
Watts per sqft: ~58 (overkill)
*The 3 lamps should be a good solution when running mixed plants of various heights and light requirements.

Drying:
4'x2'x72 Marshydro
Gets set up as needed for drying.

Exhausts: (2) Ac Infinity 6" Inline w/
temp/humidity controller
(1) Ac Infinity 4" inline w/ Inkbird.

The flower & veg tents are going to be ducted into the attic using insulated HVAC ductwork. I haven't decided if I'm going to add a tee that would vent into a single outlet or run them independently. I don't realistically see the need for more than an 8" single line I tie both into; the run is short with only 1 slight bend. I would assume the power of two 6" inline fans forcing air through the lines would have no issues, but I could be wrong.

I never posted a pic of the setup. Its a real space saver if you have a smaller room. Total footprint is just over 7x3. The 3x3 is on a 4" exhaust and the 4x3 is on a 6". The room is a mess in this pic, I just finished installing heavy duty kitchen stove style vents that go through the wall. The lines run about 3' now as opposed to 10' each when the vented into the attic and soffit. If you have ever used a 6" hole saw with a high torque drill, you better make sure you are locked into place, it almost threw me off the ladder!
The 4x3 has the divider removed and I propogate in a little 2x2 and set up a 4x2 with a 4" exhaust & controller 67 to dry as needed. 20220219_061848.jpg

Man! I'm in the process of making something for my clones as I'm running out of room constantly.
