Those look soo delicious! Dump that spore water around your yard!
It's about 8 or 9 hr drive to Lansing, MI from here.
We spore pretty much every spot in the yard where we find them, mainly because to me, if you can find a Morel in a certain spot, then the soil is already saying it can support them. I took the first batch of water out and dumped it in my "honey hole" where I normally find the most Mushrooms, and then, the Wife took the stems that were cut off, along with a few not so prime caps, and those went into the Island in the front of the house where we found some of the ones we ate
It's funny, because the trails out back, are open to the public, and we've seen people out there specifically looking for Morels, but we haven't ever actually seen them in the Woods. Like ever LOL. I did once take the spore water out there, and found an area with long needle pine trees and not much else around it, and I spored that once too, just to see if anything ever pops up.
The Giant Puffball we saw at the side of the road a few years ago, was already not in it's prime, so we chopped it up into pieces, and put it by the entrance trail in the side yard to the woods, so that way we could step on it each time we went out there, and spores went everywhere, including on our boots, and then we took a hike out back, hopefully getting some of them to grow as we walked. It was a big one, so on a windy day, we'd step on it, and you'd see a cloud of spores go off into the wind.
You know we have Indian Ghost Pipes out there too? I haven't ever tried them, but apparently they are really good for pain relief. Personally I leave those alone, as they're really pretty. Like a Mushroom flower.
