so I made a bunch of eggs and potatoes and some bacon…. Omg the homegrown version is soo gooooooood

After years, I finally found coarse-ground bulgar wheat, and just had some for lunch. I'm so happy. The finer stuff was okay, but the coarser texture makes it so much better. Thermos bottle cooking is such a great gift to the lazy man.

I just winged it! Saute diced onions and minced carrots in some butter til they're tender, add minced garlic and ground beef, brown ground beef together with the veg, season fairly with garlic, onion, oregano, thyme, and marjoram then get the fond up with a little red wine, throw in a packet of brown gravy mix and add beef broth or water, simmer til thick. Take off the heat, top with mashed potatoes, bake at 350° for 25 mins, top with cheese of your choice and broil til it's brown!

Im on a cooking tear this week. This was lunch, crispy fried mortadella, aged provolone, dijon mustard, spicy greens and red onion. Brushed the bread with olive oil before I toasted it. Oh, and pepperoncinis.

Made some tuna/egg salad with the Dukes

Was out of dill relish so I chopped some pickles and added some of my pepper brine.

Came out great. Dukes is legit in my book.
