Oh damn I'm stoned. I've been sitting here thinking about my breeding goals, and why some people, like me, enjoy things that our DNA would be like "No!".

It's in our DNA, that something that stinks, shouldn't go in your mouth. Now I'm sure that's ruined prom night once or twice, but people still eat Durian Fruit.

Plants made chemicals to keep predators away, like Garlic, and Spicy Pepper plants, and then we go and cultivate these things on purpose.

I've eaten Limburger Cheese before. If you smell that, everything tells you not to eat it. Yet it's safe to eat. I'm thinking one of the things I love about Cheese, is the backwards nature of it. If our ancestors drank spoiled milk, they'd likely die. Cheese is essentially controlled spoilage. It's also good for you. I like how life is funny sometimes in weird ways.

A girl can say she loves Cheese, and you can reply with "sorry, I'm circumcised", and the bacteria that makes a certain Cheese, is being denied in its low calorie form technically. (I'm not so high that I'll explain this, that's rude lol) but man, people age high quality Steak, and even get a mold on it that is carved off, but if you left one on your counter raw... now you're sick.

Damn I didn't even light up the Donnie Burger yet lol.
I eat Limburger cheese with my eggs for breakfast at least 3 times a week...My uncle brings me a block of it every time he visits lol...wife always bring me a wedge of blue cheese every store visit..I definitely appreciate your love of funk..

Oh it's most certainly passed on..And even moreso with proper selection..All strains no matter what they may be you will find WAY more potent phenos..Only one way to know...Label em...smoke em.
Oh that's some good news there! I may well have to do a Black Cheese Burger now haha. I'd never had the Donnie Burger before, and though the production wasn't massive, what it did produce, is ridiculous. Black Cheese produced really well, but, I've never seen a Cheese not produce massive nugs before, so no real surprise there.

I feel like the selection on that idea would be of the highest importance though too; The Cheese would likely increase bud production, specially if that was the female, I think, and then, from there, select for the smells I'm after, and see what happens.
When im hunting my own seeds and have plenty to hunt .I always choose for ease of growth and structure first...That's Always most important to me especially when ya plan on running up to f3 where the true fire always seems to be found from what I've experienced...Seeds are by no means created equal.. Definitely junk and insane fire within the same breeding.. ALWAYS
Structure is important to me too, so I'm glad I'm at least on the right track. Although I admit that smell is probably the biggest factor, the structure / growth pattern of any given plant, is another thing I've been looking at since before I ever tried to touch any pollen. It's one of those things I love about Cheese and Chem D crosses; they all look like a Christmas Tree if you don't top them, and they don't generally have any issues supporting huge buds either (I legit once had a Blue Cheese clone get knocked over in a wind storm, and when I picked her back up, not a single branch was snapped...) so I like the durability of that too.

The male I ended up using for my first real try, was that awesome Cheetos male I saw that I've mentioned before. Though his smell was what made me decide to go for it, I also stopped giving him nutrients to see how he would do in less than ideal conditions, and to see if his growth continued in a good way. The reason I ended up cloning him before cutting him down, was that he simply kept growing, and had that Christmas Tree structure I love dearly, and LOTS of flowering sites...Like all over the place. Even the clones ended up producing enough dust to choke a vacuum LOL. The effects of Cheetos are a lot like an edible, which I know I keep mentioning, but it's just so impressive to have a joint keep you stoned for 4+ hours.

That would be a nice combo there! The almost fried Onion taste of Limburger with Eggs, yeah I'd try it out :)
wife always bring me a wedge of blue cheese every store visit..
Oh she's a keeper! Hahaha :)

Thanks brother :) This no longer being terrified of pollen thing has my mind wondering multiple times a day with ideas to try out, so I'm excited to see where it goes next. That Chem4 BX with Cheetos ought to be interesting too, given the lineage is basically pure Chem and Cheese haha. I made a mental note for this season, that I need to make sure to dust more areas on clones, because the Dead Whabbits and Blueberry Cheesecake clones, ended up with not many seeds, and I'd like to increase chances for more production this time around.

I'm also interested to see what everything in there does this time, as they will likely be heading outside in a month or so, and I now have two piles of soil I've been feeding to try and prevent the need for 400 dollars worth of new stuff. I still use new soil for in the tent, because outside bugs need to stay outside. I will say one thing though; The only thing I saw on Dead Whabbits for the most part, were flies LOL. I though that was hilarious. Still smells like cooked Steak. Smelled raw outside haha.

My run is already full sadly, and I've STILL got Cheese on a backlog lol. I understand having to wait to get to something though for sure. Looking forward to seeing what you think of those bro, thus far, the buds have been crazy good. I legit want to breed with it.

I think most of us have a backlog lol, so many strains so little time to do em all.
Yeah bro, it's weird for me, coming from "ohhh I got some bag seed of this strain I love!" To "shit which of these Cheese do I run next, and in what order??" Lol. Makes it damn hard to complain though haha, the only reason one of my own crosses made the cut, was me running low on the mom lol.

Speaking of Critters, I found something I find interesting :)

Skunks belong to the family Mephitidae, which means “double foul odor.”
They have the ability to spew the noxious secretion from twin anal glands as a mist or a stream that can reach up to 15 feet.

Some perfume manufacturers rely on skunk secretions.
The skunks’ offensive output also features ingredients that cause the smell to linger for weeks. Distilled from the thiols, these chemicals are added to perfumes to make the pleasant (and expensive) scent last longer. BTW, skunks themselves are turned off by several smells — citrus, ammonia, mothballs, and the urine of predators like coyotes and foxes.

Skunks eat just about anything.
Their diet includes beetles, wasps, bees, crickets, grubs, berries, nuts, mushrooms, eggs, worms, frogs, mice, voles, and even cottontail rabbits. They support the environment by eating lots of farm and garden pests and consuming carrion that otherwise would emit its own foul odors.

Like deer, male skunks are called bucks and females does.
They mate in February and early March, and the females give birth in May to a litter averaging around six young, called kits. Born blind and deaf, kits stop nursing after about two months, but they stay with their mom for up to a year, until it’s time for them to mate.

That means it's almost Baby Skunk Season !!!!! Awwww! :)

Skunks and cats can get along.
According to the state Department of Environmental Conservation, “In the days of small dairy farms, several dozen barn cats often ate from the same pan of milk after each milking. Many a farmer arrived to pour the dregs of the milk strainer into the cat dish and found that one of the cats had a broad tail and a characteristic white ‘V’ across its back.” The DEC adds this warning: “It is not wise to feed a house cat outside your home after dark.”

A few years ago my friend had 2 skunks, both rescues. One was an albino and the other blind. They were descented and fixed. Were kinda like cats tbh. The blind, striped one regularly rubbed up against my leg and wanted some pets. The other was eather eating or curled up in my friend's lap asleep. Precious little stink-cats. 🥰

Ya Psychobilly, you could selectively breed them for color.
Just images from online.

Awwwww!

 I don't think I'd want to do that though. They only do that in response to a perceived threat, so as long as it was a Baby, and I raised it, I don't think it'd be a problem. And even if he did... LOL how much would it REALLY change the smell of my room? haha :)

Awwwwww!!!!! That's it, I'm going out in the woods with a net...

YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They're so cute! The Wife and I were driving down the road one day, and our road, turns into a turn where it remains paved, and has another section you can continue on to, that is a dirt road. We were driving on the dirt road part, and the Wife and I both see a little baby Skunk walking around looking for food we assume, and we stopped. I put my window down a little bit, and began talking to him. He sort of looked up at me, and I was careful, given that he was likely scared (We didn't see a parent near by, or any others) but he just went about his day, looking at stuff on the ground... Wife and I were watching him for a few minutes, and she's like "We can take him home!!!!" and I'm sitting there like "Fuck now I have to be the voice of reason here? MAN that's a scary thought...." so I had to speak up that we had no where to actually properly house him. Sadly.. She said we could get him de-stinked and my heart sank. I don't want that LOL. I jus want to pet him, and possibly feed him a high calorie diet so that I can use his spray to make candles... LOL.

I called him Cheese Doodle... Had a name already picked out for the baby Chem Cat :)

The birds are getting big around here...
yesterday morning I find my feeder like this. That is a 1/2" diameter steel shepards hook that fits inside a 1"brass pipe. All bent. I could not unbend it in fact. Had some suspicions and set up the trail cam

I knew what it was as soon as you started describing the damage, as I'm sure you did when you saw it.
That's a chunky bear, too. Been eating good since it woke up.

Do they usually move along on their own, or is persuasion required?

They learn early that most things won't mess with them, so a lot of skunks are extremely chill, since they've rarely been threatened and can defend themselves if they are. I've had an affection for them since I was a kid and they used to casually wander though the campground, mom and babies, completely relaxed.

I'm not sure how to get rid of him.......this is a first and this baby looks nothing like the 4-5 bears I ever heard about being here, usually pretty scrawny. My backyard is ringed in raspberries too and that also part of the veggie garden. Tonight, the feeder will be set back up but a small amount of seed with a bunch of cayenne pepper. And he's coming back tonight I'm sure. He ate about a half gallon of seed each of the last two nights.
I have a really good stretch of woods behind my house...........just about everything lives there but this is our first bear.

Securing food sources is usually the first suggestion but you can't do that with berries. The cayenne might work, but only if he associates it with people, as opposed to that particular feeder.

Putting fear of humans into them is the best way. Make lots of noise and chase them away any time they show up. That protects not only you, but every human they subsequently encounter.

Most learn quickly. If it's a stubborn one, or shows any aggression, it will need to be trapped and relocated, or destroyed. Up here we can call Fish & Wildlife and they will set a live trap for problem bears. I don't know if you have an equivalent.

I think the DNR might help with that actually.
