Just a general thought about getting rid of flying critters indoors

Was out in the camper today and saw a small 120VAC bug zapper that I bought to get rid of any mosquitos . Simple design: UV light and some electrically charged wires to zap them when they get close

Anybody tried this indoors??

I think I got mine for like 20 bucks. I know they make battery powered ones for tent camping, etc.

Im sure it would work, just not in the same room as plants. The lights on the zapper would interfere with the lights off time needed.

Many yrs back, 2019 iirc, I was building uvc light filtering boxes for growers. This is the same setup hvac companies were peddling to homeowners when covid hit to install into their hvac retur ducting. I did the same thing, but substantially cheaper.

Anyways, I put a fan leaf (in a zip lock baggie) with spider mites (scoped) with eggs into said box by the light. After 4hrs the hatched sm were spinning around in circles with 1 leg buried into the leaf. They looked like little sm merry-go-rounds.
