SUPERthrive Pro-Tekt

Smoke_A_Lot

In Bloom
I ordered DynaGro Pro-Tekt which is a silica supplement and received SUPERthrive Pro-Tekt. I thought SUPERthrive was it's own product? DynaGro must of purchased of purchased the rights to SUPERthrive I guess.

Has anyone tried this new formulation yet? I'll be running it in due time.

Looks like both might be owned and/or distributed by another company because I did find this :

WALNUT CREEK, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Central Garden & Pet (NASDAQ: CENT, CENTA) (“Central”), a market leader in the garden and pet industries, announced today that it closed the previously announced acquisition of Green Garden Products....Headquartered in Norton, Massachusetts, Green Garden Products is the leading supplier of seed packets and seed starter products for flower and vegetable gardens in North America, as well an emerging participant in the specialty soil category. Central Garden & Pet Completes Acquisition of Green Garden

I also see this - on instagram, neither dyna-gro or Superthrive have posted anything in over a year.

I had the same with dynagrow rooting hormone. Came with superthrive on the pack. Also curious what's what

Go to their site and you can get their whole line (7 bottles of) "Sample Pack" for $25.00 Have used this line with soil and got very good results - they have a very good "root stimulator" (K-L-N) product also
@LG/ superthrive is a "stand alone" product (has kelp, B-12, ect) and can be used 1x per week ---- two different products many organic growers use superthrive

Sorry I should have been more clear, I was referring to the buyout/crossbranding.

I've use superthrive on and off for many years.

Recently I bought the KLN, first bottle said superthrive on it instead of dynagrow. Second bottle I bought said dynagrow.
So there's something going on there

From what the good old googles told me, Plantation Products acquired Superthrive in 2017, then Dynagrow in 2020.
Plantation Products changed their name to Green Garden Products at some point.
2021 Central Garden and Pet acquires Green Garden Products.
Then I lose the trail.
Bfg Supply Co owns Central Garden and Pet.
Then it's private equity firms and that sort of deal...
Where does that rabbit hole end. Hmm.
Tricor Capital.
These companies names are something else haha

Some great "detective" work - always interesting to hear the back story of

To clear thing up Dyna Grow recommends using Pro-Teck and K-L-N together (pro-teck is a stand alone so add K-L-N to it ) so Pro-teck being silicon based would work well with superthrive

Guys fyi silica based products unless they are mono sililic acid are not bio available to plants for 6 to 7 weeks after 1st application and even then not efficient, big waste of money. But m.s.a. is awesome, its my secret weapon. I use grow genius m.s.a. its the highest concentration available . dosage for root drench is 4ml per 25gallons. It is a game changer also great for foilar at .5 ml a gallon. Not only protects but is a good pest deterrent.

Also on a final note I would think about using past 3rd week of flower, just my experience. The bio availability info above is botanical fact. Look into Monosililic acid its immediately available. Amazing stuff in veg monster stems, monster everything usually equates to monster harvests
