I need to learn more quick bake breads. Like soda bread and dinner rolls. Get better at my no rise pizza crust. Thats the baking my fam appreciates. I dont know why I always have an inclination to start at the highest difficulty lol

Honestly haven't tried, but there's all kinds of "two ingredient" recipes for biscuits, bagels, and loaves that might be fun. Link to one is here.

May try to sling a couple pies on the 4th... we'll see. Like everyone is saying, it's hot (see below) but if the oven is gonna be on anyway, might as well make the most of it...

Thanks for pinging me @Mim Towls .
You're a true gent. We'll get through this slump, and will be carbing up big time real soon πŸ˜‰

Did indeed fire up the oven this morning.
AC was working overtime - official high was 106 Β°F (cooler than the past few days!)

Cold ferment sourdough crust. Been working on my technique to stretch thinner.
Fresh basil, canned fire roasted tomatoes, mozzarella. Simple.

Dang that looks tasty af! I still want one of those outdoor pizza oven things, just heating for an hour to preheat the baking steel at 500f is too much!

I've been watching those Ooni Karu 16 vids.
Seen on Reddit where folks are running anthracite in them w/ great results.
Maybe next year, if some incredible sale takes place...

So while buttering slices of the bread for garlic toast, I realized we had some garlic sauce from pizza the other night. Went ahead and spread a lil of that on there and I can’t want to see how it goes. Seemed like the right thing to do …

Yeah. I found it in a book I got about how to maximize my backyard garden and move it along for the different seasons. Turns out, I wish I lived further south.

I let rest about 15 and then transferred to a wire rack to finish. Very soft and cakey inside with a crispy top.

Tried out a new focaccia recipe from YouTube a while back. Turned out decent. Only had all purpose flour on hand, but will give it another go with some bread flour down the line.

Video of recipe at the bottom of post.
