Bro that's no joke; I've legit been terrified of Tornadoes since being a kid.... Legit panic attack from the sirens.... So bad that at age..... 10 or so, I took, passed, and got certified to be a storm chaser. Figuring that the more I knew the less scary it would be.

I've legit been terrified of Tornadoes since
For me it was the events of the late 80's in Edmonton. There was the catastrophic Black Friday event in '87, and then in '88 one hit the west end of the city. I remember watching the green and purple clouds rotating overhead just a few minutes before the tornado touched down about 30 blocks away, ripping the hell out of an industrial area.

Similar to watching the grizzly take down the young moose, some things just force you to confront your own insignificance and helplessness.

Yet another reason I'd do not so good in the South

I hope none of this shit came anywhere near you, @Jewels.

It's been thunderstorming here all day, to the point I shut down the PC for most of the afternoon. Got sick of the power flickering and rebooting it (still need a UPS). Luckily, no sign of any strange colours or swirling overhead though.

anywhere near you, @Jewels.
Thanks, for thinking of my crew, Amarok.

Nine dogs, altogether.

Hard temp drop came first.

And then the wind.
Moved away from the Poplars, set up under the Willows

Bazaar, seeing Three kids all get spontaneous nosebleeds, at the same time.

Gusts topped out at 60, so not too bad ( read : scary) at all, really.
My daughters hammock was absolutely buzzing from the oscillation.
Tents were flattened, @DopeDaniel style; but no rain. 😁 20230701_013422.jpg

Happy Canada Day !
Too windy for fireworks, although the electrical show was a good compromise.
We had a gooder.

Rest in peace, Seth. :(

A relative wrote, “Our cowboy rode his last bull straight to heaven yesterday. Our boy left this world doing what he loved and always said if I die riding bulls always remember that’s the best way to leave this earth for a cowboy like me.”
