There are many reasons to fight like that . Hockey was so much better before the ducks ( Disney ) they came In and fucked it all up. Damn it I miss old school hockey! I can't help laugh my ass off at the the people who don't like the fights, BUT.... let's think, they are getting hit with a fist...think that hurts more than a frozen puck at 80 mph to the face/ anywhere on the body? Damn it the young generation has ruined the game. I blame your sissy parents. 🤦🤦

That is one reason I can't watch the NBA anymore *sigh*. I only recently learned what "flopping" was... Like WTF... I'm not saying they should bring back fist fights into the NBA, but you can't guard a guy anymore, it's a tech if you do LOL.

I only ever got into NBA for a while when Jordan, Pippen, Rodman, Longley and the rest of the Bulls were at the peak of their magic. One thing I've done recently though, is watch young NBA fans watching Larry Bird videos from his prime. Seeing their amazement at what the game was, and their disappointment at their realization of what a watered down wimpy game it is now, is kinda sad, and it certainly doesn't pique my interest in today's game.

Yeah, I have to admit, I like watching people react to his mix tape, and the looks on their faces LOL. I get a kick out of that.

To call it a fight is misleading. Guessing there is a backstory something like the Nathan McKennon (sp?) deal a few years ago??idk was it the enforcers or original two either way the sport is so boring to watch (as are nearly all sports) I'm not compelled to investigate or watch.

Hit pitcher is the same deal, if not, real similar imo. Should be then and there or just the 2 parties involved if a later date.

Just my .02 we can leave my parents out of it.

If we're going to talk about Baseball at all, I'd like to bring up my all time favorite Pitcher; Rube Wadell! THAT would have been entertaining to see, if they had, you know, TVs back then.

Not directed at you or your parents. Just a general venting of frustration at how sports have really gone down the drain. Sad because I used to love watching but I just can bring myself to watch professional sports these days. Well, except for darts 😉

I apologize...I didn't realize my response would sound like it was directed at you. I saw the video and it got me reminiscing about the good old fashion competitive sports. And I had a REALLY good buzz going...😬....ok ...onward and upward my friends! And for the record, you are dope Daniel! 😉
Reciprocated.
Definitely was shocked, was like wtf? Hadn't seen anything like it from you before and we haven't interacted at all on here I don't think. That damn global you. LoL Apreciate your contributions and understanding.

Went for a stroll this afternoon. Spring is close, but not quite here. As I was taking this shot, a pair of mallards flew up from behind the grass in the center of the screen and made me jump. :)

Water looks high
That's the main beaver pond where their lodge is, a couple hundred yards from my place. The level is due to their dam.

The river appears to be typical Spring level. It will drop now as the ice coverage melts and rise again when the mountain run-off hits.
I'm going to run down tomorrow and see if there is anywhere to cast, though it will probably just turn into a hike along the river. That stretch is always a bit of an adrenaline rush. The path is easy, but has lots of heavy cover and high ground along both sides and there is usually plenty of fresh tracks and scat.

Did a bit of hiking before driving to the second spot. This is a place that always has me paying attention. With the thick cover and high ground on both sides, if something is going to happen, it will probably happen here.

A few paces along, I saw a black shape on the edge of the river. It's a bear. Nope, a moose.

Nope. It's a dumb deer walking on the ice, falling in to chest depth, and casually climbing out again.

He only eats the "freerange rude".(fantastic novels, BTW)

I know, I love those. But he did eat one musician to make an Orchestra sound better, so I went with him at times, eating the stupid to improve the sound LOL. I think I have almost every book. It may sound odd, but one thing I loved about his character, was that he made you want him to like you. The brilliance thing always stuck with me.
