Plant Issues with Winter/Spring 2024 Grow

Tent Update:

Those of you who might have been following this thread might be thinking, "How old are these plants?"

Let me explain the timeline: Due to a programming oversight on my timer, the plants didn't enter the flowering stage until a couple of weeks ago. Surprisingly, this delay resulted in the largest auto flower I've ever raised.

Now that the auto flower is out of the way, these ladies are off and running.

Front/Center: Rhubarb S1, although stunted, has taken off. She has many flower sites. Since she didn't develop thick, strong branches, I may have to put some stakes in there to help. We'll see; we haven't gotten that far into flower. They do tend to stiffen up quite a lot as they bloom.

Note: Any dwarfing is ultimately my fault from early childhood abuse by me (not to me, although maybe  ).

Back/Right: From the beginning, Nyx: Bringer of Sleep and Death has been my most forgiving. I've never grown a plant with so many early flower sites. We'll see if they develop into large, single-looking buds. Those bamboo stakes don't support anything weak but help them stay bunched up without blocking other flower sites.

Back/Left: MooMoo DooDoo has been my most abused plant in the long term. That Black Strap Auto got so big that it started crowding the light for her, so she has empty patches in areas. It hasn't developed its sea legs either; those stakes supply support for limbs that would fall over. I can only imagine if they don't stiffen much more as flowering continues.

I'm going to remember the day I discovered the timer issue so I can better guess how far along they are in pre-bloom.

I just noticed the burnt tips are pretty prominent. I may dial it back to 1.8 E.C.

Thanks, Jewels:

I used some rosemary-based spray that I won in a photo contest.

Then I put more fans in the tent.

I ordered a few things to rotate.

The one piece of advice that stands out is to keep changing because they get immune quickly.

Next, Grow, I'm ordering the classics:

Dang, Dude, that is bum news !

Positive I.D. is crucial.
Got to get the right product for the right pest, these things aren't going to die of coincidence.

Consider that mites reproduce and mature more than twice as fast @27C than they do @ 18C

I got those because of a rant that Rasta Jeff (Irie Genetics) went on one night.

He was ranting about people with bamboo sticks and the fear of poking an eye out. : )

That's a heck of an IPM cocktail. I like it.

I've been lucky—three straight years of growing and no issues other than Fungus Gnats.

Next grow, they are going get "preventive" care all along the life cycle.

I do use regalia along with it...When I do my IPM. I use regalia along with venerate..or grandevo...Garlic extract tsp per gall...few drips of rosemary oil ..few drips of peppermint.. Tsp of yucca extract....been working well for me...I'm no IPM expert but if it's not broke I don't look to fix it
