My teenage years were full of abandoned farmhouses! When you step inside, the mind wonders what has transpired over the many years that people lived there. It was spooky, nostalgic and just plain awesome.
On Occasion, I'll slip into one every now and then. It's still as thought provoking as ever!

I would LOVE to bust out my metal detector in areas like this. I dropped about 1k on mine. Submersible up to 9' (fresh or salt water). So far I've made about $39.00 back on my investment.

I remember we visited one where the living room floor had caved into the basement; just a vortex funnel into the basement. And there were all these test tubes in racks along the outer wall of that room, some broken some intact. Like some mad scientist had lived there. That was the scariest one I went to. My friends' Dad had dropped us young kids off at this crazy place to play while he went hunting in the back country for a few hours.

It rained all day, so I decided to deep clean the man cave. Yikes, it took me all day. I did recover a few lost treasures, which makes it all worthwhile! Then, I made a fresh prebatch of organic super soil. Even found time to take some cuttings. 50/50 chance I crash and burn tomorrow . Like I don't know better. It was an edible inspired day of creative chaos! ?

I hope you're not without power for long. It can be refreshing, when it's all quiet and natural! We lose power rather often, usually not too long, but if I'm running the cloner, the noisy ass genny gets fired up.
It took about an hour and a half to fix. It never happened in the city, but out here there are occasional outages, but they don't happen often and rarely last long.
I do need to grab a UPS though, or eventually I'll have some computer issues. I have plenty of deep cycle batteries so I just need to find an old one at a thrift shop.

Get three; Even though Monitors no longer use CRTs, a screen uses up a LOT of juice. The first UPS I had was stress tested from a CRT monitor. Power went out, and I thought "Well, I have time to shut down at least" and as soon as I turned on the monitor, it was gone. Kinda funny to think how far computing has come in some ways LOL.
