Home depot trips and housework all day. Currently trying to track down replacement parts for Penn mortise lock assemblies from 1915. Gotta love old houses... if anyone happens to know a vintage door parts supplier let me know!

PS. There is a special circle of hell dedicated solely to people who paint over antique brass fasteners with latex paint.

Today I was at my mom's house. She gas surgery tomorrow and over the last few days I've been getting everything ready and done for Summer since she'll be out if commission a bit.

75 degrees. I had the AC on.

I was awake before midnight and I "think" I dozed back off at some point. Pretty beat now. Chem D + Susie Cream Cheese.... yes :)

Been smoking Susie Cream Cheese basically every day this week and told the Wife "I haven't contemplated homicide all week!" Lol.

Went arrowhead hunting the other day. We found this one. It is about 1 1/2 inches from top to bottom. There are a few small pieces missing from it . Due to its shape, it is apparently from the "late archaic" period of 3000 BC to 300 AD. It is made from chert.

Helped my octogenarian neighbor unload his new fridge and haul it into his house, while simultaneously teasing his wife(who is on oxygen and not well) for not helping.

We found a tiny ding in the freezer door and after a debate, they decided to keep it. She said she didn't care about the dent. I said "Yeah, if you were worried about 'pretty' you wouldn't have married him". She got a big kick out of that. I felt proud, getting a giggle out of her. :) Then when we were sliding the fridge into place we debated whether or not to trap him in behind.

They were grateful for the help. I just said they were great neighbors and I was hoping to be as awesome as they are.

I went to a marble show and actually learned how to play the game of marbles. A guy had built a whole table to get the game off the ground, and it was an absolute blast. I'm gonna have to see about trying to get a marbles league or something going on up around me. It was sooooooo much fun. Like billiards but you need finger skills instead of stick shooting skills. lots of little nuances and such to learn. MARBLES RULES

Be careful though; you don't wanna lose them :)

oh believe me, that joke wasnt beat into the ground and then all the way to china or nothin.
hahaha. But yea, if you sink the final one out of order, then you do in fact, lose all your marbles.

Hey now, some of us love puns, and beating a dead horse is just tenderizing the meat LOL :)

I used to play with Marbles a lot back in the day, but.....This will shock you I'm sure... I lost them. Not sure if this coincided with me getting my first Slingshot but, the outcome was the same.

Isn't the larger one the "shooter" ? It's been a while as I'd said.

Yeah now that you mention it, I do remember the shooter marbles. but they are not in this game. So i suspect this game, which had a rule book, is an advanced adaption of the traditional game of marbles kids would play. There are 3 different sets in the middle, and they need to be knocked out in a certain order to "open the table". so i think this is a newer version of a classic game. Kinda like how warhammer has 40k, classic, etc. (i dont remember what classic is actually called, the not future ones)
