They are red tail hawks. Sure piss off the local chipmunk population. Yesterday there were a bunch of fence posts laid down along this fence line
A couple attempts were made at a chipper to no avail, so I decided to shift the odds.
Really curious about that iris looking thing if you know what it is?

Looks like a Nodding Onion - Allium Cernuum
I'm not familiar with it, but it's a beauty.
They are so cool. Can't see them until I'm on top of them.
I have a couple patches and should be able to collect some seed.

Bumble bees on Artichoke flower.
They are f'ing oblivious when rolling around on these. You can literally pet them if one was so inclined, I don't.

Thank you. They made it really easy to capture. The last few mornings I have found a handful of sleeping bees sleeping it off nestled, nectar drunk in the purple flowers. They go crazy.

I closed the fridge today and started laughing.
This Red Tail feather has been on the door staring at me every day
and I never even noticed or thought of it.
Didn't give 'em all away.If you have them nearby, I bet you'll find some of these.

Forgot that I had bought the wife this little waterproof Lumix P&S.
Broke it out between the raindrops for some testing - not crazy about it so far.
Have to dial it in. Hope I like it better than my phone for fishing pictures.
