GM’s tent city

Wild terps to be had there. I have grown it. @Psychobilly has, as has @Idlewilder.

Still, I am a sucker for anything TGA.

I am no help, dude.
I got a bad habit of soaking them all.

I got a few BLSR going now that are only a few weeks old. They are F5s from Idlewilder, who made them from Useful seeds.
Yeah, these F5s from him are what I ran. I only popped one seed, and ended up with a REALLY nice female :)

She wasn't huge, but boy did she produce some buds! The smell in veg was like straight up Lime and Black Pepper, and after a while, I had the buds all curing nicely, and got some very interesting smells of "spent Fireworks" added into the mix, which was also nice. The super Peppery Lime is actually pretty nice, and with the other little subtle smells you can get from these, it's worth running for sure. REALLY good for chilling out. At least mine is, but I let her go until I saw about 30% Amber resin. The CBN is a nice addition to a strain that seems to be known for muting those "racing thoughts".

Hell yay! Thanks for the report. Sounds right up my alley.

My tent city happens to be in a 1910 victorian basement. It has it many drawbacks. One has always been dodging these asbestos’s heat pipes. I have them wrapped and painted but this corner decided to split a floor joist. Where someone 100 years ago supported it with the chains you can see here.

So my week just got more exciting! I’m no carpenter or contractor so my dumbass put that metal support post and it cracked the wood even more once I put upward tension..smh. I got lucky a found a friend of a friend who is a wizz with this stuff supposedly is coming by Tommorow.
But I think I need to support the pipes first then sandwich the spilt beam and put two of those jacks up but spread out over like 3 or four beams and a header piece…

I'm a GC, do structural stuff like that quite a bit. This is what I'd do imho, just throwing it out there.
From what I see I'd do a full length new joist to sister up to that one and bear on the same ending locations. Beam and or foundations. Having the room to maneuver can be the tough part.
Basically duplicating that one thats there a tiny bit smaller, and gluing and screwing the two together.
Temp support those pipes while you do it and remove anything along side the joist so the new one can sit up tight to the other cracked one.
Above your beam the joist will sit on, if there's blocking remove it to have some wiggle room sliding the new joist in place.
You'll likely need a second set of hands or it's at least alot easier if ya do.
Some clamps, screwgun, screws, skilsaw, square, Liquid nails and a caulk gun would be the tools. And some saw horses.
A 2x8 trimmed down to fit, needs to bear at least 2" on each end. Rip it about 1/4" shy of the existing one so it'll slide into place easier. Glue it and screw it every 16" 4 screws per vertical row. Deck screws work best as they have a smooth shank to suck boards together and a torx head that doesnt slip.
That should remove the need for any Jack's you had to put there, or were thinking of needing. Unless there's more to it than I see anyways. Lol
If there's additional support needed from something heavy above then do the above specified sistering a second time to the other side of that cracked joist.
Once that's all in, replace any blocking and or braces that were removed, and rehang those pipe straps.
Any of that needs more explanation holler if ya want mang.

Little dry in there this time of year. I like to see my new setups run for quite a few days before dropping any beans. Humidity was a whoppping 22% with the fluorescents running and no air exchange. Basement rn is around 55 so trying to figure out how not to put a heater in there.

Temps maintained around 73-82. Couple fans should even in out to 78. That’s my goal!

zero hour for the records. Seeds are officially wet.

What did I end up with

Well…..
Third dimension
Celtic stone
Pure Michigan f3
M2 ( sativa) kinda scared
Banana mist
Black lime reserve f2
Blue beam f2
BB15 S1
Swan x blue beam
BB15 x blue beam bx.

correct me if I’m wrong.
Kinda confused on backcrosses. I took the bb15 ( salmon river og x river song) clone and pollinated with blue beam which is ( bb15 x thin mint gsc)

Since it’s crossed with a direct parent that makes it a BX1?

Also tall tent with a gavita 1700 shouls be a good sativa home. Planning on germination then 12/12 from the get go in there. M2 it’s kinda scary and 14-20 week flower or something crazy. I’m In the the long haul. Good thing the majority of genetics should be relatively fast

with a direct parent that makes it a BX1?

Related, but not necessarily bx1.

By the strict definition I think it's when the F1 hits ( or is hit by? ) one of the original parents.

The bx1 created in this diagram was achieved utilizing the same pollen in both crosses.

Question.
If I grew out that F1 and it was male could I not collect pollen and hit it back to the mother ?
Same lineage just switch the pinks for blues.

some wouldn’t the male blue beam f1 that pollinated its mother (bb15) be backcrossed at that point, like your example for switching the pink for blue though?? Sorry if im
Over complicating it or being on the slow bus
